I had always wanted an organization that helped writers and filmmakers here in Orange County.

In March of 2009 The Orange County Screenwriters Association was founded because of several key people who made that possible.   In May, 2009 OC Screenwriters was able to hold its first event featuring producer Clark Peterson at the Regency South Coast Village Theater.  Since then we’ve featured speakers like Kevin Sorbo, J. Michael Straczinski and James Elroy and sponsored events like the OC Zombie Walk and The Anaheim Film Festival.

The Orange County Screenwriters Association (OCSWA) is a not-for-profit organization conceived to be a connective resource of creative energy and real-world materials for professional and amateur writers and filmmakers.
